About this Funding

The a16z Speedrun Accelerator is a San Francisco-based accelerator backed by venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) that invests in ambitious early-stage startups building the future across industries. The program is open to founders worldwide and provides access to mentorship, fundraising support, operational guidance, and a global founder community. International founders can also receive help with banking, visas, and relocation.

The investment terms include $500K upfront in exchange for 10% equity through a SAFE agreement, with an additional $500K follow-on investment available if the startup raises its next funding round within 18 months. The accelerator also offers access to partner perks and credits from companies such as AWS, OpenAI, Nvidia, and Deel.

Criteria:

Open to early-stage founders globally
Startups from any country can apply
Focused on innovative startups with high-growth potential
Founders should be building scalable technology-driven companies
Selected teams participate in a 12-week accelerator program in San Francisco
Funding is dilutive, meaning a16z receives equity in exchange for investment
