
The Kirabo Grant provides $5,000 in non-dilutive funding to founders and small business owners from historically under-resourced communities across the United States. In addition to funding, the selected recipient receives a complimentary Kirabo membership and a business coaching session. The grant is designed to support entrepreneurs building impactful businesses while advancing financial and economic equity in their communities.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
Be a founder or small business owner from a historically under-resourced community, including Black, Hispanic, Indigenous, rural, immigrant, or other communities facing systemic barriers to economic opportunity.
Operate a business based in and primarily serving the United States.
Be a for-profit business, non-profit organization, sole proprietorship, partnership, or unregistered entity.
Have generated less than $750,000 in gross profit or received less than $750,000 in total funding from investors, venture capital, or grants.
Demonstrate a mission-driven business that creates positive impact within its community.
Eligible Uses of Funds
Grant funds may be used for a variety of business expenses, including:
Operations
Marketing and customer acquisition
Research and development
Product development
Staffing and hiring
Equipment purchases
Other business growth initiatives
Unlike investment funding, the grant is non-dilutive, meaning recipients retain full ownership of their business and do not give up equity.
