Applications are now open for the K-Startup Grand Challenge (KSGC) 2026, South Korea’s flagship government-backed startup acceleration program designed to help international startups launch, grow, and scale in the Korean market.
Supported by South Korea’s Ministry of SMEs and Startups, KSGC has become one of the world’s leading inbound startup programs. Since launching in 2016, the initiative has attracted more than 21,000 startup applicants from over 100 countries.
Unlike traditional accelerators that focus solely on market entry, KSGC provides a full-cycle growth program that helps startups establish a presence in Korea, build partnerships, access investors, and scale throughout Asia.

Phase 1: Market Analysis & Preparation
July – August 2026
The top 80 startups participate in an online program focused on:

Localization strategies
Expert mentoring
Business readiness preparation
Phase 2: Market Entry & Settlement
September – December 2026
The top 40 startups advance to a hybrid program featuring:
Business acceleration support
Industry expert mentoring
Visa and settlement assistance
Corporate partnership opportunities
The top 20 teams will also share ₩380 million in prize funding.
Phase 3: Business Growth & Scale-Up
January – April 2027
The top 20 startups continue with advanced growth support. The top 8 teams will receive scale-up grants totaling ₩250 million.
Eligibility Criteria
Startups must meet the following requirements:
Founded by non-Korean entrepreneurs
Less than 7 years old at the time of application
Deep-tech startups may be up to 10 years old
Seeking expansion opportunities in South Korea and broader Asian markets
Operating in innovation-driven sectors such as:
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Biotechnology
Fintech
Smart Manufacturing
Mobility
Energy
Other high-growth technology sectors
