About this Funding

The Amber Grant, created by WomensNet in 1998, supports women entrepreneurs in honor of Amber Wigdahl, who passed away at 19 before realizing her business goals. Each month, at least $30,000 is awarded through the program, along with additional Startup Grants, Business Category Grants, and three $50,000 year-end grants.

The application process is simple and requires only a short submission about the applicant and their business idea. One application automatically enters candidates into all relevant grant opportunities. Winners are typically announced by the 21st of the following month.

Eligibility:
Must be a woman (18 years or older)
Must own at least 50% of the business
Business must be based in the United States or Canada

Open to:
Startups (including idea-stage)
Early-stage businesses
Revenue-generating nonprofits
Not eligible if the nonprofit is purely for charitable giving (no revenue model)
